This is not a VW advertisement per sa; but it is an interesting ad from the greatest maker of VW aftermarket products: European Motor Products, Inc ie EMPI. The year was 1956 when EMPI was founded by Joe Vittone in Riverside California. Their first product was valve guides which allowed flat-four cylinder heads to be repaired.
